The KPI (2017 = 100), calculated to monitor quality-adjusted price changes for housing in Turkey, increased by 6.9 percent in January compared to the previous month and amounted to 708.3. While the KPI increased by 153.1 percent year-on-year in January, the real increase was in this period 59.1 percent.

In short, the House Price Index (KFE) rose by 6.9 percent month-on-month and 153.1 percent year-on-year to 708.3 in January.

Looking at the change in the main performance index of the three major cities, an increase of 6 percent was observed in Istanbul, 6 percent in Ankara, and 5.8 percent in Izmir, in January compared to the previous month.

The index values increased by 154.4 percent in Istanbul, 156.8 percent in Ankara, and 149.9 percent in Izmir, compared to the same month of the previous year.
