On Thursday, the San Francisco-based startup Humane announced the launch of a device called “AI Pin,” which can be attached to clothing, such as by placing it on the user’s chest .

The most prominent feature of this innovative device is the laser system that displays information on the palm of the user's hand instead of the screen found in smartphones .

The device captures palm movements to interact with the content lists it displays, such as responding to texts or changing the song .

Tilting the palm in different directions can highlight menu options, and closing the palm returns the device to the home page .

Among a growing list of capabilities, the innovative device can also act as a foreign language interpreter, supporting the user's nutritional goals by identifying the appropriate type of food, according to the manufacturer's website .
