Accordingly, the number of buildings for which municipalities issued building permits decreased by 9.2 percent in the period from January to March of this year compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the number of apartments for which municipalities issued building permits increased on an annual basis by 0.7 percent, while the number of buildings decreased by 9.2 percent and their area decreased by 2.1 percent.
While the total area of the buildings for which the building permit was granted reached 26.7 million square meters, it was noted that 14.2 million square meters of them are residential, 7.1 million square meters are non-residential, and 5.4 million square meters are non-residential. common use area. According to the purpose of use, the largest share was for residential buildings consisting of two or more apartments with an area of 16.9 million square meters. This was followed by residential buildings with an area of 2.5 million square meters.
Building occupancy permit
In the occupancy permits issued by the municipalities, the number of buildings decreased by 10.5 percent, the number of apartments decreased by 19 percent, and the roof area decreased by 17.2 percent in the quarter compared to the same period in 2022. While the total area of these buildings is calculated as 25.2 million square meters, of which 14.4 million square meters are residential, 5.2 million square meters are non-residential and 5.7 million square meters are shared use areas.
According to the purpose of use, the largest share was for residential buildings with two or more apartments with an area of 18.7 million square meters. Followed by industrial buildings and warehouses with an area of 1.6 million square meters.
